The successful conduct of this event was due the continuous followup done by Mr. Kannan with their training dept. Having seen the feedback from customers personally, I'm sure Mr. Kannan will be organising many more such talk shows & convert the corporate as our loyal customer.

Awareness campaign was held in MCH on Global handwashing day - Oct.15th, the theme being "Say yes to clean hands, Say no to infections"! - for the pediatric patients. As a part of the campaign children were taught 'The 8 steps of handwashing’ through a live demonstration by the Hospital Infection Control team and were also made to repeat the same. A leaflet on Importance of handwashing along with a hand sanitizer was provided to over 300 pediatric patients who walked in that day. The event was made more fun-filled for children as they enjoyed making declarations to follow good hand washing practices by marking their colourful hand-prints on chart papers. Apart from in-house awareness creation, the news was also spread to the areas in and around the hospital through banners and standees that were put up in the neighbouring places.

Members of the Dr.Mehta's Hospitals, including his students, recalled their association with him, be it in classroom or hospital and praised him for his efficiency and diligence as a teacher.

Dr.Ali, in his address, recalled his work in Thanjavur Medical College and said he had listened to the “sound advice” of his teachers who told him to not run after money and instead serve people. Recalling the benevolence of the Mehtas, the owners of the hospital said the hospital was now a 250 bed institution.

ARE YOU A PARENT OF AN ADOLESCENT CHILD????
Adolescence is that period in our lives when nothing seems to go smoothly, yet Our best memories are about those wonderful days. It is a period when low self esteem ,negative thoughts, peer pressures, media pressures and school stress are at their peak, It is a period when self consciousness is universal, It is a period when sexuality emerges and grows Adolescence is a period when they reject advice outright, yet they need it most. It is a period when they demand for independence, yet are mostly dependent. A period when maximum hostility is shown towards parents but they want to be loved and cared for. A period when maximum rebellion is shown, yet want to be the pet baby of their mother. It is a period when contradictions are more or less a rule rather than an exception. Any conventional approach is likely to fail with this age group. It is a critical period which decides their career and character. Adolescence is a stressful period-academically, physically, psychologically and socially, both for parents and for adolescents, though for diagonally opposite reasons. How do we help, How do we enable these tiny larvae metamorphose into beautiful butterflies holistically? And then, see them fly to great heights? How do we make our nation rich with holistically healthy adults? Visualize them grow into adults who are comfortable with their own selves with wonderful self esteem and excellent psychosocial competence. Believe and motivate the child that they can march past their problems and obstacles to live a successful, fulfilling and happy future.
